Carmen Brace is the founder of Aclara Research. She is a consumer insights and strategy executive, with roles of increasing responsibility leading teams and client strategy development across ConAgra Brands, the Wm. Wrigley Jr. company and the Campbell Soup company. Her experience spans consumer and retail insights, enterprise strategy, sales leadership and category management across the leading retailers in the US food and beverage industry.
Carmen has worked and studied in six countries across Europe and the Americas, and consulted internationally across confectionary companies, advertising agencies and community organizations. She was repeatedly named to the ‘Who’s Who List of Shopper Insights Professionals’ by Shopper Marketing Magazine, and a ‘Rising Star’ by Progressive Grocer Magazine. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Agricultural Economics from The University of Illinois, Urbana – Champaign, and The Ohio State University.
Her work with cannabis patients and consumers across markets illuminated a key insight – the medical cannabis patient is the most undeserved within the health care system. And across the US, the patient experience is not clearly understood by those that impact their daily struggle to find relief. Cannabis patients and consumers have similar reasons for using cannabis. Identifying these common drivers of usage can shift perception of the plant, improve the user experience and business outcomes.
